VET Online course or the successful professional skills adaptation
The structure of the online course will be refined based on feedback from the target group, using focus groups and interviews to ensure it meets their needs. However, within our partnership, we have preliminarily discussed the possible content and structure of the course that will be organized around the following key questions:
– How to enhance migrant women’s professional skills and work-related competencies.
– How to transfer skills and qualifications and continue professional education in the host country. – How to start a business as a migrant woman.
Each chapter will include:
Interviews: Featuring testimonials from migrant women and insights from organizations involved in support and integration activities.
Resources: Videos, PowerPoint presentations, and audio recordings to provide comprehensive and engaging content.
Mindfulness Approach
The online course will incorporate mindfulness principles, which are defined as “a psychological state in which one focuses attention on events occurring in the present moment” (Brown & Ryan, 2003). Mindfulness is linked to improvements in mental well-being, which is particularly beneficial for Ukrainian migrant women adjusting to new environments.
The course methodology will emphasize dynamic and innovative approaches to learning:
1 From Case Studies to Emerging Situations: Real-time scenarios will be used to illustrate concepts, making the learning process more immediate.
2 From Abstract Problems to Innovation: Solutions to practical challenges will be highlighted, fostering problem-solving skills.
3 From Passive Learning to Active Learning: Interactive elements will encourage participants to engage actively with the material.
4 From Objective Analysis to Subjective Experience: Personal experiences will be integrated to provide a deeper understanding.
5 From Text-Heavy Communication to Multimedia Communication: A variety of media, including videos and audio, will be used to make the content more accessible
